Frequently Asked Questions

What is teamCuetm Player, and what is the teamCuetm software suite?
The teamCuetm suite contains two applications: the Player and the Central.
The Central is the system that sets up the music information, and the Player simply plays it back.

Is teamCuetm Player free?
Yes! teamCuetm Player is totally free to use.

How do I get teamCuetm Player and install it?
Because the teamCuetm Player is purely built on Web 2.0 technologies, you don't need to install anything to use it.
All you need to do is to visit our website, and follow the instructions in the "Get Started" section.

Is teamCuetm Player ready to publicly use yet?
I would love to say "Yes!", but no. It's not publicly available yet.
Right now, most of its functionalities are ready for tests, and you can try it out by following the instructions in the "Get Started" section of this website.

Is there any way that I can use the teamCue software suite for my group now?
Yes! I will be very happy to assist you with the teamCue.
Just send me an email including the following information: university name, contact name, email address, and music info, I'll set up the settings for you.

How can I set up music settings? i.e. music title, tempo, time signature, etc.
The teamCuetm Player *only* reads music settings and plays it back. Simply put, you can't set up your own music settings with teamCuetm Player.

In order to do so, you'll need to use the teamCuetm Central. Currently the teamCuetm Central is under development and is not publicly available. However, when it is ready, it'll be free to use as well.

Wait. What is teamCuetm Central?
The teamCue Centraltm is the server side application of the teamCue suite. It has the ability of creating and managing music settings, and inviting peers, etc.
Not everyone need to use the teamCuetm Central though, because once the music setting is set up, everyone else can play it back with the teamCuetm Player.

When is the teamCuetm Central going to be ready?
It's very hard to say. My rough estimation would be by the end of 2008, but this estimation is subject to change.
